Automated tests: the backend and app suites together, all passing when we ran them on 18 October 2026.
Invention Passports and the Vault
An inventor shows a short teaser and opens a private Vault to each reader only after an NDA. Every Vault view is recorded.
- A passport covers the problem, the solution and its benefit, a readiness level from 1 to 9, the IP status and what the inventor is looking for
- Three teaser levels: members only, a private link, or the open web
- Before a teaser goes on the open web, the inventor reads and signs the Novelty Guard, a default warning about disclosing an invention before a patent filing
- Readers sign the NDA the inventor chose, one-way or mutual, before they ask to open the Vault
- The Disclosure Ledger fingerprints every Vault file and records each view, download and refused read

Matching and introductions
Members find each other through published, rule-based matching, and InovOrbit opens a chat only once both sides say yes.
- One account, four hats: Inventor, Entrepreneur, Investor and Company
- Six published matching rules with fixed weights; each suggestion shows a score from 0 to 100 and its top reasons
- Plans and payments never change the order
- Double opt-in introductions about a profile, a passport, a venture or a challenge, which expire after 14 days without an answer
- Discover searches published passports by sector, readiness, IP status, country, language and keyword, with saved searches and a weekly digest

Venture Rooms and the Deal Kit
An inventor and an entrepreneur who said yes to each other open a shared room to turn the invention into a company.
- A Venture Room for up to six people, with files, tasks, a decision log and a private group chat
- The Venture Path takes the team through eight steps, from 'Explore together' to 'Investor-ready'
- The Deal Kit covers five arrangements: a licence, a sale of the IP, co-founding, an option on the IP and joint development
- Each arrangement becomes a fingerprinted, printable draft summary to take to a lawyer or notary
- A founders' checklist, a ten-item checklist for forming a Dutch BV at the notary, and an equity split helper that gives a starting point for the founders' own conversation

Companies and partner organisations
Companies post the technology they are looking for, and partner organisations bring inventions in for their inventors.
- Organisation pages with team seats that share the organisation's plan
- Company Challenges: a verified company says what technology it wants, by licence, paid pilot, co-development or acquisition, and each answer comes under its own mutual NDA
- Partner organisations, such as university valorisation offices and incubators, can list an invention for a named inventor, who can take the listing over
- Investors and companies need an approved identity or business verification before they open a Vault or send an introduction

Moderation and privacy
A person decides every moderation case, and members can download or erase their data within the limits set by retention.
- Members can report passports, profiles, notes, ventures and challenges for nine reasons
- Each decision names its ground and gives a statement of reasons, and a member can ask once for a second look by a different moderator
- Evidence records are append-only through the application and kept until a retention date the operator sets
- IP addresses are shortened before InovOrbit stores them
- Members download their InovOrbit data as one file and can erase it, within the limits set by retention

Plans and operator tools
The model is member plans only, and the operator runs the marketplace from a handful of admin pages.
- Four plans, Free, Pro, Investor and Company, with quotas the operator can change; listing an invention stays free
- No commission and no share of what members agree, and InovOrbit moves no money between members
- Editor's picks are always labelled and never for sale
- A forms page where the operator edits all 14 form templates in three languages
- A marketplace health dashboard: members per hat, new passports, introductions, median reply time and moderation time

Languages and accessibility
Everything comes in English, Dutch and German, with accessibility designed in.
- 3,434 interface strings per language and 30 e-mail templates
- A public showcase of open-web teasers, behind an operator switch
- Built to WCAG 2.2 AA design goals and checked in an internal keyboard sweep
Worth knowing: InovOrbit introduces people. Nothing members agree with each other is offered, sold or paid through InovOrbit; what they agree happens outside it.
